1.    Question: Why hire an ex- offender?

Answer: Individuals who have served their time and paid the price for the crime they committed want to work and pay taxes. These individuals have skills and abilities that are needed in the workforce. 

 

2.    Question: What type of individuals/offenses are you speaking about?

 

Answer: The following crimes are non-violent offenses:

  • Most property crimes, such as theft, embezzlement, and receipt of stolen goods, arson

  • Fraud, tax crimes, other forms of white collar crimes

  • Drug and alcohol-related crimes

  • Prostitution

  • Racketeering and gambling

  • Bribery

 

3.    Question: In what type of jobs will our clients be placed?

 

Answer:

  • Part-time

  • Full-time

  • Temporary and Temporary to permanent

  • Laborer

  • Warehouse

  • Clerical/Customer Service

  • Production

  • Depends on the skills the individuals possess

 

4.    Question: If a client wants to change their career path, would training be                    available for them to do so? 

 

Answer: Another Chance Staffing, Inc. will provide workshops on interviewing, resume writing, dress for success, etc. When necessary, we will provide one-on-one sessions/consultations with our clients.

 

5.    Question: How will Another Chance Staffing, Inc. help me prepare for                            interviews and assist me with image presentation so I can put my best foot                forward?

 

Answer: Conduct mock interviews, provide mentoring and conduct one-on-one sessions/consultations with clients.

 

6.    Question: If a client does not have a high school diploma, how will Another                Chance Staffing, Inc. assist them in obtaining a diploma?

 

Answer: Some of the clients may find themselves at a disadvantage without a High Diploma or a GED, so Another Chance Staffing, Inc. will partner with organizations and work to provide programs that will allow our clients an opportunity to participate.

 

7.    Question: How will Another Chance Staffing, Inc. plan to change employers'              opinion and regulations to open the door so non-violent ex-offenders can be              considered and hired as applicants without a criminal record? 

 

Answer: In most cases ex-offenders will be at a disadvantage when competing with someone without a record.  Our hopes are to become role models and share success stories to our communities that it works.  Participate on panel discussions with employers, educate and make aware of the skills these individuals possess and help these individuals become tax paying citizens, who doesn’t want that?
