Board of Directors

We are pleased to introduce the four board members who have volunteered to serve a two (2) year term for Another Chance Staffing, Inc.

The Board focuses mainly on advocacy, planning, and relationship building.

Board members advocate at local and state level for and with people who have served time and are rehabilitating back into society with their families. The board works hard to ensure that we have a strategic plan in place that helps us to reach our goals.

Every year we will engage in a strategic planning session to develop the goals and strategies that enable us to carry-out our mission effectively and efficiently. Board members help to secure support of our mission and cause within our community through their various connections and networks.

Our Board members serve a critical role in leading and directing our efforts to provide options and opportunities for clients at Another Chance Staffing, Inc. including grant writing and philanthropy education programs.

Thank you and welcome these individuals who are leading the way for Another Chance Staffing, Inc. in our community through their services and commitment.

Vanessa Barber

Vanessa Barber was born in Chester, SC. and has lived in Rock Hill, SC most of her life. She graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1988. Vanessa works at Comporium in Customer Service and has always been passionate about helping others. Giving gives her so much joy and she runs the gift room for Dorothy's Day Kitchen for Christmas every year. Dorothy's Day Kitchen delivers meals to senior citizens, nursing homes, meals on wheels participants, and people who don't have anyone to check on them. On Christmas Day, they serve between 500-600 less fortunate people in our community. Vanessa makes sure everyone receives a signed Christmas Card & a Christmas gift with their meal delivery. It is the smallest things in life that are so important to her. She believes we never know what others are going through. A very simple act of kindness would mean the world to someone. It cost nothing to be kind to others, give someone a compliment, give a smile to someone or just take a few minutes to give someone encouraging words. Vanessa is a firm believer that when you do good, good will come back to you.

Kelly Munsee

Kelly Munsee is married to her husband Rock. They have a daughter Jill and her many children:  Reagan, McKinley, Grant, and Quincy. We all live in the Rock Hill area!

Kelly has been working in the Catholic Church for over 28 years – in five different states. She has been a catechist, Bible study leader, youth minister, and Director of Education in addition to the many ministries she has been involved in one way or another (never choir though).  All because a priest gave her a chance to work for the Church – not based on her education but based on her example of being faith-filled! It is so important to her to not only be a Catholic, but to live her life as a Catholic who shares her faith with others while trying to follow Jesus’ example of loving and serving everyone she meets. If you have already met her, then you know she carries out her ministries with lots of laughter.

After her children were teenagers, she went back to college.  She earned two English degrees (professional writing and education) as well as a minor degree in Religion. She considers herself right brained and love to create… with yarn, paint, plants, words, and food to name a few!
